Frequently Asked Questions

Questions and answers

  • Can I recycle my packaging?

We’ve worked hard to ensure that any of your purchases do not add to the widescale waste endemic. If you cannot find another use for our packing, all of it can be easily recycled by taking it to your appropriate recycle centre, adding to your recycle bin or to your personal compost.
  • What are we doing about our Carbon Footprint?

We take care to minimise our own waste production and greenhouse gas emissions as much as possible. We’ve chosen to go one step further by donating a proportion of our profits to the charity One Tree Planted. Planting trees is an amazing way to sequester carbon and help our business move towards carbon neutrality.
  • How do you ensure that your products are sustainably and ethically made?

Suppliers are well researched to ensure they fall in line with our social and environmental values. Before a partnership is made, we guarantee the welfare of the local communities, environment and staff are being met. We maintain honest and transparent relationships, with daily communication to all of our suppliers.
  • Are your products vegan friendly?

All of our products are vegan friendly, vegan products must be entirely free from animal involvement. This also includes testing of any sort on animals.

  • Why Bamboo over wood?

Bamboo has many advantages over wood. We’re amazed that bamboo is only having its revolution now and hasn’t been used for mass production years ago. Almost 1 million acres of forest are lost each week due to deforestation. Bamboo's versatility provides a substitute for slower growing hardwoods, offering a chance to reduce this figure. Bamboo helps rebuild eroded soil, important in the process of reforestation. Bamboo replenishes nutrients such as potassium in depleted soil and their amazing root structure provides support for repopulation of other species. Bamboo is carbon neutral and absorbs 5 times more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than similar plants. It also produces 35% more oxygen in comparison! By choosing bamboo you are helping in the fight against deforestation.
  • What does FSC certified mean?

FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council, which is an international organisation that promotes responsible stewardship of the world’s forests. The FSC label allows consumers to recognise products that support the growth of responsible forest management worldwide.
  • Can I return my packaging back to you for recycling?

Although we appreciate the consideration, we do not recycle used packaging directly. Our boxes are made from recycled cardboard at the point of the supply. Therefore, we prefer that you add the packaging to your recycling bin or drop it off at your local recycling centre. Don’t forget, you can also reuse the packaging. For example, the boxes make great gift boxes, pet homes or handy storage boxes for your makeup or DIY bits and pieces.
